That is quite unrelated. Yes skills are important. But even a total noob can obliterate a pro if the former is in a BB7 and the latter a BB1. But here is what is important: why should only low tier ships have to become excellent at the game (despite the logic dictating lower tiered ships would have less experience and thus skills) in order to at least have a tiny chance of doing anything while BB6-7 can easily farm low tier ships without being any good.
Skills used to matter most back when we had normal rooms which we'd restrict to similar tiers (BB1/2, BB2/3, BB4/5, etc.).
Now it only matters for BB5-7 when fighting their own kind. For smaller ships it barely matters because the gap between the tiers has simply become so huge. It's like playing an RTS and a player has a handicap of 90%. Sure he could theoretically win, but his opponent shouldn't lose unless he's a huge "noob".
Because even if the BB1-3 player is an awesome pro if the BB6-7 on the other side is any good it shouldn't suffer any significant amount of damage from the tier 1-3 BB. Your theory only works if you assume people with BB6-7 are crap. |
