One way they can do this is to BRING BACK TRADE, but deleting topics about those helps too.
Bringing back trade will not attract new players...not sure why some of you keep bitching about it.Trade is not coming back. And crashes aren't going away.
Attracting New players and Keeping the new playerbase are two different things. Woodskier wants more and continuous events to help the new players get better ships and at the least experience what 95% of us veterans have experienced in NF with Bigger Battleships and Carriers. This also goes into what he posted about being able to freely give out credits to newer players to lessen their grind, which GM decided to delete. The influx of new players are already done, there are no more Blitz rooms except for a few in certain times, and they don't even last long. There is nothing they can do to attract new players anymore, the best thing they can do is hold on to the new population they were able to attract, and by making their grind a lot harder, you're basically giving your "new" playerbase the middle finger.

First off a lot of new players leave within a couple weeks due to the fact that blitz rooms hardly exist so they have to play GBs, which then can barely do anything since there are so many noob bbs that shoot at smaller ships. I dont even shoot at anything less than a bb and will infact let a dd hump me for a while to rack up attack. Only time ill shoot at a smaller ship is if its an AA ship or the end of the battle. Just makes people give up on the gameSecond having events isnt going to help attracting new players. Its actually sad how the exp is now. Can get a bb6 in less than a month. So a lot of older players have left cause of that. Theres a lot of things why this game has died in the last few years. I dont ever see it coming back to 2005-2010 era
Very true, but during that time we had quite a few TNF players and a GM who communicated with the community and enacted changes based on necessity and community goals. Now we have an incompetent GM who's actions are worse than his inactions. The claim that trade is too much of a workload is just lazy and moronic. We've all known for years the code is broken, fragmented, and beyond their capabilities to fix, but for pete's sake dont tell us now its just too much work for you. Solution: Get the test team back together, form another TNF fleet filled with active players, and find a GM who has actually dealt with game issues in the past and has intent on improving community relations and the game as a whole.
