Dear all,I'm on steam playing NF, and i can't update the latest patch.  The network usage from task manager is 0%, and i'm not sure how i can change it.Any help will be gladly appreciated.

Did you tried manual download patch?
 
gbdownload.kupai.me/FullPatch.7z - you donwload it, then move file to FleetMission folder, then extract with zip - it should ask if overwrite files (press yes to all) - and then game should work (i must do it all time cuz on Win7 autoupdate ALWAYS fail). GL

is fleetmission folder the same as regular mission folder?  i cant get passed login screen.  im not sure if im even doing this right anymore since its been years since ive tried playing.

As names says, no - FleetMission folder is not same as Mission folder. FleetMission folder is main folder of game, contains all subfolders like Mission,Sound etc, also contains exacutable files like all launchers. If you didnt changed it while installing game, your FleetMission folder should be there:
C:/FleetMission
