Gotcha. Ghosting or nerfing sailors to save weight. I do this on scouts and only scouts. Some guys will do this on their gunners by calculating max ability and such and then nerf them accordingly. I say Eff that. They say you have 900SD but there are other things going on that we dont know and cannot test out. So I dont do this. I am not going to lose a battle because I did not ghost any sailors.One example of me countering this is my UK crew where I have 6 X-Sailors and 2 Sanata as Engies. I can run 3 engies and Ghost everything else as I hit over 200 on Rep and hit Max speed. It was easy back in the day to buy crap sailors and nerf them to fill the supports out. This lets me carry more buldge/armor but not enough to warrant the nerf. I managed to get 13.2" of deck on the UK BB7 doing this minus the rear turret. AP will pen anything over 10.5"? anyway and HE will strip your SD anyway after so long especially if they fire selectively. Me on Buldge. Not worth it. When its gone. its gone.I can see KM and other nations using unclassed Support sailors for HH Gunners and Torpers. This increases your Rep rates especially on Subs. Lets you fit full sailors on ships that are near Max DP with a full crew.Making a spread sheet then Excel it to calculate all this would be so time consuming. Maintaining Speed, OH, Accuracy, and Reload etc. Someone might be able to do one nation with all the possiblities. But all 7 ?But throw out some ideas you have. It would be fun to discuss. The best thing NF ever did was put: Gun ranges, OH time, and Rep rate in Harbor. |
